Starting with the soundtrack of "The Dig" gains you at least 30 karma points from me
I love(d) that game so much, that hearing the theme immediately gives me goosebumps!
Michael Land did some amazing scores in that area.

For reference the intro:

This was done during the TV writers strike about 10 years ago. Fans of Law & Order will know the actors.

A "rebooted" blast from the past. Does anyone younger than me remember "Project U.F.O."?

It feels like the movie is a result of the director thinking to himself after watching Apocalypse Now It's a good movie, but imma make my own with blackjack and hookers...and more shooting.

That director was not the first to think that way... Behold the trailer for the first Italian Vietnam War Film (and the only one not based on 'Rambo')

Woah, the most genuine acting in that trailer is when David Warbeck says Sometimes I think I don't want to live anymore.

It's almost like he just broke the fourth wall.

Actually, the explanation is wrong. The primary reason why those small cars appeared in Europe all over (See Goggomobil, Ape, Reliant Regal, Fiat 50, Mini) had been plain economics. The industry was more or less in ruins, and people wanted cars.

So, the industry build what it can build and sell. The drivers license worked maybe better in the UK than in Germany.

Same why scooters became so popular in Europe during that time.

But its really funny to see a car that is even small for German standards (even at that time!) on a US road.

BTW... my favorite car of the period is this one:

Did cost 7500 DM back then (18440€ today) .... and the video shows well, why it still looks great today. There was one parking near my former workplace ... white. convertible. whitewall tyres..... now I need a cold shower.
