Hi again Orbiter-Forum friends,
It turns out that we are working with @dbeachy1 to make available a build of the Ravenstar XR2 for OpenOrbiter Linux.
He kindly allowed me to compile the XR2 with CMake using the code that @Gondos ported to Linux and entrusted me to test the XR2 on Linux before he publishes the official XR2 installation package for Linux here on Orbiter-Forum.
That's why I'm writing these lines, because I need help testing the XR2 on Linux.
If anyone has an OpenOrbiter installation available on Linux, but not using Wine, but rather native Linux Orbiter, let me know in this thread or by private message and I will kindly provide you with the installation package to test it on Linux*.
I appreciate everyone's help in advance.
*NOTE: You might be wondering why not just post the .zip and try it out. It turns out there is a slight copyright issue with the XR2 mesh and until further notice the only person authorized to distribute it publicly on Orbiter-Forum is @dbeachy1. However, he allows me to perform this test on the condition that I provide the installation packages via private message.
