Planning of Voyager Project

The Voyager Project will be dubbed, one of NASA's, OSA's, and
HASSESA's greatest mission. Involving the launch of one masssive station for the purpose of mankind, it could become one of the hardest and most expensive challenges ever faced. "One of the station's greatest fears, is orbital destabilization," Engineer William Dakley says in this report.

A newly built shuttle called the Independence has rolled out for its first flight in the Voyager Project. The computer's as well as most equipment has been modernized, but the shuttle will still remain like what the original shuttles had looked. Independence's first mission is to deploy a docking module for future missions as well as send in a 3 manned crew to start the equipment on the station. After that, they will undock with it's 7 man crew and reenter.

Missions Planned

The Mission's will fly with only a week after first launch for the next launch. The Independence after launch and docking will boost the station to a 300kmx280km orbit. The core is currently a Mir-2 due to its noble use in the construction of the OFSS. After the Independence's touch down at Wideawake, it will be transferred to a 747 where it will depart to KSC. After that, the third mission with a crew will be launched to dock. It will be a Soyuz-TMA to dock with the station.

Documentation

As with all missions, launch documentation is provided for all use by Astronauts for the Voyager Project. Unfortunately, the Voyager Project was redone after the core and its modules were sent down causing a massive 500 million dollar loss. Now its being relaunched. Currently crews are going to be used for the extreme, because of a lack of crews ready.

why not land at KSC in the first place? it's an expensive operation to move a shuttle all that way.
