Doomed... Peregrine moon lander will burn up.
ORBITER-FORUM will be temporarily closed at 2026-07-23 18:00 UTC while we complete some OF maintenance tasks. The amount of downtime is expected to take up to one hour, but probably less.
Yes, this was Astrobotic's first mission, contracted by NASA under the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) contract. They do have a second one coming up in November, with a different and bigger lander called the "Griffin" which is delivery vehicle for NASA's Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover (VIPER) mission. That was sad, major failure before getting anywhere. I tried to Google about other payload build by this company and didn't find much. Was this lander their first ? What's gonna happen to this lunar delivery service now ?
Comm dropout caused propellant flow to stop, which has been manually restarted... still no T0.Slight delay identified, no new T0 yet...
Hold at T-1:51...
