Is somebody already working on that one?

 OK, I was already surprised, that searching the forum did not result in any hint about such a project.

Who, me ?:uhh:
:leaving:

Yeah, I've been really sick alot lately and have not been in the mood to work on the files, I'll get my files made before the week end. Sorry about the wait...

Don't worry, Loru has offered to do the conversion work tomorrow for me (via a PM). Take care!

Do you also have meshes for the other second and third stage variants or just for the Antares 110?

Doesn't look like Capt_hensley have done them (as well as the upgraded Cygnus that will debut on its fourth flight).

No I only did the one varient, and it was not 100% accurate, say 85-90% at best. It was more DRM than actual article.

*** Edit***

Posted sources for my work here. WARNING use the files if you wish, but they are not what I consider to be publishable works, but time constraints and my desire to prevent stagnation of progress have motivated me to make them available.

Not really. Just did a few hours ago.

Don, Take my mesh, it's fully fleshed out for the propulsion drive segment, re-texture what you want, I'll bet with the three Cygnus models on orbiter and your skills, you could assemble a great looking and functioning add-on. Press on I have bigger fish to fry.

Here's a so far on the Antares. Still trying to figure out the launcher.

In case somebody wants to make a DLL for this (might be me, but I have some other things to finish first).

http://lpre.de/resources/articles/AIAA-1998-3361.pdf

Contains descriptions of the NK-33 engine and pre-launch and ignition sequences. And schematics of it, test data, instrumentation, recommendations what to change (which had been done in the Aerojet version)

EDIT: And of course good drawings of the engine... if this is needed. At least the accurate distance between nozzle exit and engine gimbal might be useful.

@Donamy: Can you also make the "zeroth" stage that contains the ground-LV umbilicals and the hold-down posts?

You can see it fairly good in this photograph, it surrounds the first stage engines.

Antares_A-ONE_rollout_01.jpg

It is connected to the launch complex, a similar technology had been used for the Energia launcher.

Antares_vertical.jpg

Here you can see it in the final vertical position. The other connections to the launch vehicle are air conditioning ducts.

(And now we just need to convince DaveS, that his expertise for ground equipment meshes is needed for making the launch complex... )

I am making the "zeroth" stage. Also will attempt the launch complex.

Added some plumbing and vents.

One minor criticism... the pink foil on the engines in the roll-out photograph is removed before flight.

And you're lucky, there's no apparent engine plumbing, it is conveniently hidden ;)
