Hiperion Deep Space Ship for journeys to planets and beyond, using fuser rocket engine technology. Have magnetic aerospike engine, optimize for thrust and Aero-Brake for the orbital insert. 

Includes screens radiators high reflectivity, integrated with the hull that gives greater structural coherence. 

Leaving  the docks , freer of heat. Presents characteristics in thrust, size and weight to optimize the manoeuvrability. Its design goals are the commerce, navigation and exploration.

Incorporate ramps folding to facilitate the loading and unloading of materials between the payload bays and surface, facilitating exploration of the planets and the logistic. 

The name is HIPERION: Ὑπερίων, (Greek: "The High-One") was one of the twelve Titans, the former was ascribed the characteristics of the 'god of watchfulness, wisdom and light.

HIPERION allow to load the ship with lots of  UCGO charges, thanks to Spacecraft4.
Compatible SDKs: Umm, Spacecraft4, orbSpotlightsv3 (orbPck) to add "lights" and beacons to Vessels. For more information read the Hiperion.PDF in Doc folder.

- Update to Sapcecraft4 by Vinka Including new features   UMMU 3.0 support and UCGO 3.0 support.

To improve visualization of copick you must use the Vinka's Spacecraft3.dll module

For desired changes open
Orbiter -> config -> Spacecraft -> hiperion.ini
edited in notepad file "hiperion.ini"

Change
...........
VISIBLE = 1 to VISIBLE = 0
and save
orbiter running, and you're

Perseus, awesome ship! I had a question on the virtual cockpit as well. Can I just replace the included virtual cockpit with a different dds cockpit texture?

Controlling the degree of dilution is controlled the momentum. The ideal would be between a Factor of 1 and 200.

Isn't it suppose to be spelled "Hyperion"?
The Romanization of Greek Ὑπερίων. with current alphabetic characters (Phoenician origin) is Hiperion.

Phoenician letters resulted different in each of the alphabets derived versions of them. From left to right: Latin, Greek, Phoenician, Hebrew, Arabic

I do not know well, is a character made for avatar.

For their glasses flight is believed to be a pilot or engineer for their safety glasses, or both.

Perhaps it is an insect, or an alien. I found interesting, funny and sympathetic.
 
Perseus, i'm having trouble with the calculations for the Fusion Reactor. How did you calculate the power of the reactor and the propellant burn rate? I'm getting different values with my calculations.

It is bimoda operation. In main propulsion power mode is greater in the reactor propellant extracts heat outside, converted into kinetic energy, in open cycle.

Ok, I understand. I use this website myself when I need an answer. I understand that it is capable of varying the usage of hydrogen propellant in order to sacrifice thrust at the cost of consumption. The Hiperion produces ten times more power than the D-T reactor on the project rho page, but it weighs slightly less. Shouldn't it be much more massive in order to produce such high energy levels?

The efficiency of the ship could be similar, with lower power, in exchange for greater burn times.

Mt = total mass of the vehicle
v= velocity of mission
gi = planet's gravity acceleration desired takeoff
mo = mass in vacuum

Added Heat-disruptive interference radiators

When the phase difference is an odd multiple of p, the interference will be destructive. This corresponds to a path difference traveled by the waves of 1/2
 
If the separation between the two radiators is zero, there will be no phase shift, so the signal will radiate isotropically in all directions of the space.
 
If the two elements are separated by a half-wavelength, a maximum will occur in the direction perpendicular to the line joining their positions, obtaining a radiation zero in the direction of that axis, since the signals will be added in phase opposition.
 
If the separation between the two radiators is of a wavelength, radiation maxima will occur in the directions of the axis and perpendicular thereto, producing cancellation for an angle in which both signals are in opposition of phase, what happens for the direction Which forms an angle of 60 ° with the axis of the cluster.

To have the previous trapezoidal radiators rename the textures nrxskin_0.dss by nrxskin.dss and replace.

Lovely ship, but unfortunately it doesn't work in 2016. It crashes in cockpit view.

Some scenarios do work in Orbiter 2016.
The bug is produced by the type Hud.

Obsolete API function used: VESSEL::GetHorizonAirspeedVector


It's vessel spacecraft3 based. It should work with a minor modification once Vinka releases spacecraft4 for Orbiter 2016.
