Hi! It's a long time since I have appeared here (though NSF/Twitter members should easily found me still hopping around ), and months since I have took Orbiter for a spin.
Here's a simulation scenario of the accident using igel et al. 's Soyuz v1.0 add-on (so it will only work in Orbiter 2010 P1, not 2016). Except for the simulated failure in the scenario being the Block D booster engine failing and then prematurely detaching (as opposed to the current leading hypothesis of a separation failure and subsequent collision with the Block A core stage - igel, can the current add-on simulate a stage separation failure?), the results were really close to what really happened.
