Another good update of popular addons. As version numbers for individual addons are not in sync, the whole update is referenced by the underlying VesselM library version - 0.8b in this case. There are two separate collections of addons - for Orbiter 2010 and Orbiter 2016. Both are updated to new versions.

The most important features of new update:
  • Significant improvements for Orbiter 2016 compatibility! Launchpads look much better, vessels' Touchdown Points behave better, shadows rendering improved. Orbiter 2010 still looks and operates smoother, but gap is shrunk considerably now!
  • Separate Orbiter 2016 Improvements Patch is not needed anymore - all needed files are now part of the root Spaceports addon.
  • 2010 version of Spaceports also became self-contained, not depending on Baikonur tiles addon anymore.
  • Vostok's cockpit labels can now be translated into English with a touch of a key.
  • Vostok's VZOR optical instrument now works in both 2010 and 2016 version (but requires very specific versions of D3D9Client versions for its operation - see the manuals).

Addons can be downloaded and installed individually, or lumped together. As before, be sure to read Common VesselM Features manual (supplied with each addon) for detailed instructions on configuring D3D9Client for best look, feel and performance.

Just to let you know, for the FiS static exhibition scenario file, you wrongly reference the location of the config file for the "traveler" vessel. It should be Spaceports/_baser rather than FiS\_baser. The original scenario keep CTD until I realize that.

You might want to update that.

Thanks! I already noticed this in Proton addon. These paths are generated by build script, so the problem should be common for all addons in the family. Luckily, the eventual fix will also be in single place for all of them.

I was so excited to play with these addons in Orbiter 2016, I loved them in 2010. However the ascent autopilots do not seem to be working correctly. I have tried proton and Soyuz launch scenarios, and both never make it to orbit. After stage 1 separation, the vessels nose down below the horizon and eventually reenter and crash. If I take over manually at this point, I can get them into orbit.

Have you tried turning off "Atmospheric wind effects" in Parameters? Those might affect the rocket autopilot's performance during the first minutes of flight

I have all the perturbations turned off, but I will confirm and try again. Anyway the first stages perform nominal, it’s after staging that the remaining vehicle tips down to an aoa of -20 or -30 degrees.

Does anyone know how to install the VesselM pack? Because every time I try to play the scenarios of these addons, it just exits Orbiter2016 and tells me to check the logs and when I did it, just said "TERMINATING". Is their any fix for this?
