    Question What are you reading?

Highways Into Space by Glynn Lunney Finally got around to reading The Right Stuff by Tom Wolfe. I should have read that years ago.

Request Gemini radar evaluation pod (REP)

Been so long since I used Project Gemini 4.5, that and I never used the mission, that I just plain forgot about it. The different RCS mode models in 4.5 are great. Does it have the strobe? How does it look? Would be nice to have on Replicant's Project Gemini or Jekka's Gemini Missions 1.0.

Request Gemini radar evaluation pod (REP)

Hi dman, and thanks for the reply. Yes indeed the ATDA is included in replicant's Project Gemini and is excellent. After making the Gemini IXA Radio Soundpack, I can still hear the air to ground transmissions in my sleep!

Request Gemini radar evaluation pod (REP)

Could someone please make the radar evaluation pod (REP) from Gemini 5? I always thought it would be great to have another Gemini program rendezvous target to chase down, with the strobe beacon and transponder, etc. Would be fun if it could be released from the adapter. Would certainly add...

    Gemini VIII Radio Soundpack 2015-03-01

This is a collection of 145 air to ground WAV files arranged in chronological order made available as 3 separate radio frequencies. Also in the "Doc" folder as an option are base CFG files representing the Gemini era MSFN ground tracking sites along with a separate list and base set for all...

    Gemini 11 M=1 Rendezvous Demo 2015-01-23

Playback demo covering the Gemini 11 M=1 rendezvous from post spacecraft booster separation  to docking. I followed the various mission reports closely in order to keep as close to the historic as I could in the making of the starting scenario and the subsequent flight maneuvers. Enjoy the...

    Project Apollo 9 Soundpack AMSO

Hi Boogabooga, and thanks for the feedback. Other points of view are appreciated. I get 100 scenarios sounds a bit nutty, but let me counter and consider that this flight is difficult to get to match up together the audio and at the same time stay close to the historic values starting out from...

    Project Apollo 9 Soundpack AMSO

The finished soundpack is a 140 MB zip file. While testing the audio, I've been making my own scenarios to be included. Currently I have 75 scenarios completed not including the rendezvous (finished up to CSM/LM separation maneuver). There will probably end up being 100 scenarios in the release...

    Project Apollo 9 Soundpack AMSO

Made more progress on this. Finished all SPS burns except SPS 4 & 6 (missing). Completed the docked DPS burn, LM jett, APS burn to deplete, LM activation, and EVA prep. All that's left is the EVA itself and then some minor stuff. The deorbit to recovery is currently unavailable. The full EVA...

    Question What are you reading?

Tracking Apollo to the Moon by Hamish Lindsay Missed out on the first edition. Glad I picked up a copy (reprint). Superb book! :)

    Project Apollo 9 Soundpack AMSO

Two undocking scenarios where the LAN then the LON/epoch were tweaked to more closely match the historic based on the LM DAC footage and Madrid LOS time. Started with the undocking scenario from the Gumdrop and Spider Undocked Audio Soundpack. BEGIN_DESC Undocking at GET 92:39:36... END_DESC...

    Project Apollo 9 Soundpack AMSO

Finished near complete real-time audio from undocking to docking. (Audio from pre TPI to just before CDR's final docking approach is missing from archive unfortunately as far as I can tell.) Hoping to find it in later WAV files out of order? Not sure what to do with all that audio as far as a...

    Project Apollo 9 Soundpack AMSO

What's available of flight day 2 (up to the go for SPS-3) is done. Starting on the EVA and undocked maneuvers now. I think I'll release all of that, (FD2, EVA, and undocked) next as part 2, then the rest of it last, ending up as three parts.

    Apollo 9 Soundpack AMSO 2014-08-30

This soundpack provides the Apollo 9 mission with detailed audio files from launch to post APS deplete burn. This being a reflection of the currently available audio (see readme). The current soundpack is a merger of my previous two soundpacks with the addition of much more audio as well as...

    Project Apollo 9 Soundpack AMSO

The work on a full Apollo 9 AMSO soundpack is now underway. Flight day 1 is now completed and being tested. (About the first 5 hrs are real-time, and the rest of the soundpack will be overviews.) Been thinking about uploading that part soon, and then being able to focus on working on the...

    Question Apollo 9 Soundpack

OK, & thanks for the reply. Probably be a little slow going because of the WAV files being 3GB. Too bad they are not available in Ogg format yet. I've been converting them to that. There's supposed to be some good onboards for Spider I noticed mentioned there at the archive.

    Question Apollo 9 Soundpack

Is anyone working on a full soundpack for Apollo 9? Just wondering because I have it completed from pad to post TDE docking/S-IVB relight.

This is a collection of 235 air to ground WAV files arranged in chronological order made available as 6 separate radio frequencies. Also in the "Doc" folder as an option are base CFG files representing the Gemini era MSFN with approximate tracking ship coordinates specific for this flight. All...
