Thank you everybody for your input. I wanted to get an idea of how the Orbiter community felt about the subject of "advertising", and I appreciate the overall sentiment. :hailprobe:
I appreciate everybody's input. What does everybody think would be a "right place" to promote Orbiter? It would have to be somewhere that caters to the "niche" that has been mentioned, but not sites that would open the door for those who may not be ready for the "challenge" that Orbiter...
I guess what I would like to see happen is a way to attract those individuals that can handle and do appreciate what the true nature of Orbiter really is (that is a physics accurate space flight simulator). When I found Orbiter, back in 2008, I had seen the addons at avsim, and had been really...
Sorry!!! I must have missed the other thread when I checked. You are definitley correct as far as the learning curve and appreciating the physics envolved. It certainly serves to eliminate those who may think that this is an arcade type of simulator. However, with an influx of motivated new...

I have an idea that I want to try, but in order to do so, I need a number of attachment points along with their corresponding ships to rotate(think of a circular, rotating space station (e.g., Luna 1)with attachment points and ships rotating all in unison along the periphery of the station)...
Welcome
Hi stanfitz, and welcome!!! As long as you can imagine it, you can make it a possibility in Orbiter. The amazing thing is that it is free. One thing that I do highly reccommend is AMSO. For anybody that was around to see the Apollo landings, it brings back those feelings of pride...
