"The F1 technical bosses are now out of their emergency meeting, and Red Bull team principal Christian Horner tells Ted Kravitz that they are 'trying to find a solution'. He says both Red Bull and the FIA have offered concessions, which mean Red Bull will continue to run for the rest of the weekend under the ruling FIA race director Charlie Whiting issues on Saturday morning. Horner believes that puts them at a disadvantage compared to the Mercedes teams, but not everyone agrees with that. It sounds like another ruling will be made ahead of the next race in Germany in two weeks' time.'"

Mark Webber won a close battle with Red Bull team-mate Sebastian Vettel and Ferrari's Fernando Alonso for British Grand Prix pole position.

It is only the second time in nine races this season that Vettel has been beaten to pole and Alonso was closer than Ferrari were expected to be here.

But McLaren struggled, with Jenson Button qualifying fifth for his home race and Lewis Hamilton only 10th.

Scot Paul di Resta was impressive in taking sixth for Force India

What happened to F1? Why all the gimmicks and architecture and pegging back the winning team? Why all the media making massive stories about the politics.

F1 really does annoy me sometimes. This is why I prefer the the Intercontinental Le Mans Challenge (Which will become the FIA World Endurance Championship from next year!)

Just watched Sebastian Vettel on Top Gear, seems a thoroughly decent chap. Came (Guess) in the
cheap car circuit, quelle surprise.
Monty Python fan and did an impersonation of Nigel Mansell's accent! Needs more work, but a good attempt.
Clarkson kept his ego damped for a change.

Thats very handy! Got confused with the episode, Sunday was the first TX, it was recorded the Wednesday before. I'm not a regular watcher, just when some item may be interesting. Can't take much of Clarkson before I vomit.
