I am trying to land the Altair lander but the way it is set up your field of view is looking up and the surface MFD is looking up too. How are you supposed to look forward and fly this thing. Is there a manual I'm missing?

Well, I am no expert with the craft, but if it is like the Apollo lunar landers, you don't fly it forwards. You hover it across the ground, keeping the top pointed up. There probably is a manual for it too, I'd recommend looking in the Doc folder in your Orbiter directory.

I dont know the craft, but if its like the LTV youll have to use hover engines to do burns, just turn on the orbit HUD and turn to 270 then rotate so the PG arrow is pointing up or down (for prograde or retrograde respectivley) . You can then use the banj readout on the surface MFD to hold 180 bank.
