i could not find anything about this on the forum, but im trying to get my Planets to work in D3d9, now the textures look good but i can not get the night lights to work.. the night side of the planet will just be pitch black, anything i can do about this to get it to work right?

you can experiment with sliders surface in blender (I accidentally made the object start to glow)

in some of the add-ons on the site OHM where part of the planet shines very beautifully it's better to do this in photoshop

for a custom planet mesh this can work, but this is an orbiter native planet sadly..

Ambient light level: Defines the brightness of the unlit side of planets and
moons. Ambient level 0 is the most realistic, but makes it difficult to spot objects
in the dark. Level 255 is uniform lighting (no darkness).
