If you can find some F-104 stuff there... I am thinking about driving to the aircraft museum in Werningerode in the next weeks, a German F-104G is there.

It's a tour of the F-35 assembly line and simulator. So only F-35s and possibly F-16s will be seen. Although, we're going to an airshow Sunday.
I'll be sure to inform Lockheed that the A-10 is better. :p

Anybody up for a session this weekend?
What scenario is prefered?
- airshow
- light target training
- heavy duty target training
- night flight
- or something else?

I should be around at your usual time. Haven't flown for a while - will have to see if I remember how to start an A10. I did pick up the Sabre and Mi-8 at that crazy sale ($15!?! that's definitely a sale!) but have zero minutes in the cockpits other than to see if they loaded. So many aircraft, so much to learn, so many key bindings to remember.

No particular preference for the map. I prefer easier targets in general because I've spent my short learning time to date spread out over several aircraft just to gain basic operational ability but no in-depth experience with some of the more detailed functionality. Don't let that stop you from throwing out some surprises though - it's fun and educational to be thrown out of the comfort zone. Got to keep the OF squadron sharp!

Server is open

I chose a clear winter night, short before sunset. Map: Easy Targetrange.

Thanks again Richy. Had a short but fun refresher flight in the A-10. I couldn't find where the tanks/WP4 re-spawn was for the life of me - had a couple of GBUs itching to go but had to RTB.

Yup, was a amusing session! The longest so far. Mission time startet 0630 and I quit the server at 1330 map time. :p

Sammy doing some refueling:

Me got hit hard from some crazy tanks:

First kill with the Mig 21. A stormy morning scramble with a couple of Atolls, ground control intercept to a B-52. I kicked the graphics settings way up again and added the snow storm not only to give a "freezing cold war" atmosphere to the scenario, but to also test FPS under some demand. The recent update seems to have cleaned up the problem nicely, I am glad to report.

And...

Hawk T1A out for pre-sell.

That's a "sometime, I guess" add on, for me. Hands full with the Mig at the moment, where DCS is concerned.

I'm up for a next session this saturday around 1700 UTC. The mission would be the same as last time. A night time sceniario about 2h before sunrise. This time I chose a moonless night. With a full moon as last time, its VFR by day. ^^

Or are there any other wishes?

Is that 1700 the same 1700 as before (literally UTC), or have you had daylight savings in your area?

Yup, we had daylight savings, so it's the same time for me, but a different for everybody else. ^^
But don't worry, this is why I always announce times in UTC.

My PayPal account only has 1.12 in it :( The money probably won't reach my account by the November 3rd.

Farbri, I don't think you were shot down by an enemy SAM. When I was flying behind you, I noted a small missile overtaking me, and hitting you without any alarm on the MWS. When I looked back, there was a third A-10C following us. Mysteriously, I noted after landing, that this one missed one AIM-9. :p

Aha. That might explain it. I saw the incoming missile in external view and fully expected to be blown out of the sky.

Once more, thanks Richy. Had a very brief fly around in the Mig, ascertaining that the fps issue it had is fully resolved now. Lots of go-around practice for me; there was a great deal of congestion at Kutaisi, with other landings and even two A-10's doing a formation take off, at the time I chose (ie; was forced by diminishing fuel) to land.
