Hi everyone,

I just have a quick question:

At what point in the year is the earth at apogee and/or perigee? Is there anywhere this information might be available? Also, does the apogee/perigee passage have anything to do with the seasons?

Thanks!

Here's a rundown for the next few years:

BTW, the terms "apogee" and "perigee" are incorrect when referring to a sun-centered orbit.

The correct terms are "aphelion" and "perihelion", or you can use the general terms for all bodies, "apoapsis" and "periapsis".

See this for different body apses names: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apsis
