Discussion ENB Series config tweaking

This thread is ENB tweaking dedicated thread

First, we have to find best-looking ENB edition for Orbiter(D3D9Client). Search for it at: http://enbdev.com/download_en.htm
Now the default one is "GTA San Andreas beta v0.074g shaders 1.4".

Installation instructions:
1. Download
2. Unpack to any folder
3. Copy all files into Modules -> startup
4. Copy all files into Orbiter root directory too
5. Start Orbiter_ng.exe and press F12 after loading a scenario

Default file for editing is "enbseries.ini" in root dir.

So, we can start tweaking:thumbup:

I'm not DirectX game developer. I've never been coding in it. Some *.fx files have to be rewritten.

Also Io looks good. But every view from atmosphere is too white.

Ok just tried it.. All I can say so far is it's VERY bright, a bit too much for my screen.

Few tweaks in enbseries.ini file:
Enable only bloom in effects list
You may also experiment witch bloom setts.

I've experimented with the enbseries module I use with FSX with some pleasing results. In this image the scenes use Jarmonik's RC21 without enbseries on the left side, and then with enbseries activated on the right:

A subtle difference, but a nice one IMHO.

Edit: The files attached here have been removed as luki1997a reported they were not working. Please try the zip I have posted below and report back if it works for you.

My .dll and .ini are attached here if you'd like to try them - just remove the .zip extension.

That's good, because it look almost like a untouched client, but atmosphere looks better:thumbup:
Now tweaking will be easier:thumbup:

I'm uploading my ver. with nice-looking earth(nice white clouds(not gray!), darker earth and few tweaks;))

Now work with 80mileshigh's one.

Awesome! This is enough to make me want to use D3D9 full time! Is the key command to turn the effect on and off (SHIFT+F12) editable? Since stuff is a bit hard to read in cockpit mode I want to change it to F1 that way it's deactivated when I enter cockpit mode (a filter, so to speak).

Yes. In enbseries.ini you can change:

KeyUseEffect=123
to

EDIT:
80mileshigh, your ENB don't work for me. I get a GTA SA enb and after loading- CTD. Have you uploaded right files?

I'm not sure what to suggest. The files are not zips, they have just had the .zip extension added to the filename so I could upload them individually.

Just rename the file to remove the .zip extension, and put the .ini in the root folder and the .dll in the modules / startup folder.

I just tried this with the attached files and it worked for me.

I'm 90% sure that you have uploaded wrong file.
Firstly: The Earth is fast-blinking and shining like on defalut ENB in 100x time warp
Secondly: I haven't got the short green text at left-upper corner like on your screenshots:hmm:

Or maybe somebody will do something?:( It doesn't matter...

Ok, let's make sure we're on the same page.

With Orbiter version 100830 and Jarmonik's RC22 (and nothing else), I installed the files in the .zip attached to this post.

This zip includes enbseries.ini and d3d9.dll. The ini goes in your root folder and the dll in Modules \ Startup. The zip should extract to these locations.

I have used these very same files and they are working for me. Let me know how you go.

Can anyone confirm the files I attached in the above 'orbiter-ENB.zip' are working?

I'd like to share some improved ini settings but first I want to know that luki1997a's inital problem is either resolved or not being replicated by others.
