hi all
I am running win 7 on this laptop,i had another program for orbiterp1 -it was working intill last week . so I made a new folder and put it on my desktop with just the basic install - it works fine ,but when I unzip add-ons to it orbiter gives me a runtime error c++ for all add-ons . I have reloaded all the c++ runtime files ,orbiter2010 it's self and system clean and defrag the hard drive -still wont run . what should I try next or any ideas how to get it to work,i have been working on this since before xmas of 2013 and im no closer to getting this to work now 2014 and everytime I get in this fourm , the adim comes in and tells me what I should do ,but doesn't give me any info or help that will solve this problem. i have put in more then enough time to were this should be working without these problems . past frustrated and just fed up for a hobby. thank you for any help rob.

We need a few things so we can help you.

The Orbiter.log file can be found in your main Orbiter folder, usually just after the Orbiter. exe and the orbiter.ico files, and before the orbiter_ng.exe file.

If your pc, as it looks, is setup for hiding file extensions (which is not good), you only see a bunch of files, each called "orbiter", but after that name there's something like ".exe", ".cfg", ".log". The problem is that you can't see which is which.

The file we need is of the "generic" plain text type (.log).

First of all, patience.

Looking at your orbiter.log file I see this:

>>> ERROR: No vessel class configuration file found for:
---------------------------------------------------------------
>>> ERROR: r7_SZ\TMA_fairing
>>> [Vessel::OpenConfigFile | .\Vessel.cpp | 252]
---------------------------------------------------------------
>>> TERMINATING <<<

This means that you haven't installed a Soyuz addon correctly, so when orbiter files it cannot file the files it needs to use and crashes.

...so a solution may be to find the your addon's manual or readme, and then see if it mentions any other prerequisite addons that need to be installed too.

I had loaded all that I listed , guess I will reinstall them and see what happens thankyou
