I found out quite recently that FS9 doesn't support multi core CPUs - since my computer has a 1.8Ghz quad-core processor, it can only effectively use one core, meaning that it only runs on 1.8Ghz. This makes it pretty laggy, despite my pretty good specs! I don't think there's a way around this, but since a lot of people now have multi-core PCs, I guess there could be some ideas out there? Does anyone here know if it's possible to make it utilize all the cores? Thanks.

The "way around this" is to use FSX, since it can make use of multiple cores. It's not perfect, but it's better than nothing.

The switch from fast single cores to slower multi-cores didn't happen until after FSX was released. For obvious reasons, the team released updates for FSX instead of FS2004 in order to support multiple cores.

Yep - I've got that update, and I use fsx most of the time now. Thanks anyway!
