I am introducing my self and silencing the "to avoid account deletion make your first post today!" nag simultaneously; thereby demonstrating my knack at efficiency, as well as my modesty! (nyuk nyuk). Seriously, my name is James Madden, known to friends as Jon (Jonathan, my middle name). I am 51 years old, very soon to be 52. I hail from Atlanta, GA, USA; but make my home in a small town of approximately 4,000 souls. I have been playing Orbiter since around 2003 or so; hard to pin down dates the older I get. (C.R.S); if you don't recognize that acronym, it means "can't remember s**t. I'm probably not a whole lot better at it than when I started, but I love it dearly, and I have learned so much from it.
I don't want to bore anyone, so Ill wrap this up soon. It might surprise some folks to know that I have a ninth grade public school education, but having spent 13 years in the US Navy and having non-fictional reading as a hobby, I have tried to educate myself as much as possible since my wasted school years. My favorite subject of all is physics, which I wasn't exposed to in school. How in the heck my hillbilly butt got interested in that is beyond me, but I love it passionately, and understand a good deal of it. Unfortunately, my mathematics skills are very weak, so I have to take scientists' word that they know what they are talking about; however my English usage and comprehension is tested at 4+ years college level, so it all works out.
