General Question Help me hail the mighty probe!

Will someone please explain the origins and meaning of probe? I need a full explanation so I may correctly hail probe. The wiki article did not help.

You know, I thought I'd share... I discovered, that the best thing about hailing the probe is that you can do it everywhere, anytime, whether you are in school, on a date, hanging out with your friends, giving lecture to your students, or even in church, pretending that you're praying.
