High gain and Reacq mode

Just wanted to see if I was doing something wrong. During the extraction, the checklist has the high gain aimed (love that new feature, BTW), and then set to reacq. First, just to check, can you set the dial in smaller than 30 degree increments? Anyway, I have about 40% signal strength, set reacq mode, and the antennas snap back to 0 degrees pitch and 180 degrees yaw (not a better signal :lol So, just wondering if I'm doing something stupid or if there is some implementation to be done. I'm using 1479, and the latest Orbiter Beta.

Easy explanation, the auto and reacquire modes haven't been implemented yet.
