C++ Question How to create a robotic arm?

I'm trying to create a robotic arm for the new Forum Orbiter Italia Vessel: The Eridanus. It's similar to the Space Shuttle robotic arm. I had a look to the atlantis.ccp file to understand how to code it.. but i failed..:facepalm:
How can i do? Which steps to build a robotic arm controlled animation? ( possibily by using arrows key?)
