Idea Hurricane Textures

Would be good to have a texture to add to Earth of a Hurricane of some size. I often watch the video's sent back by the ISS when Hurricanes are active off the coasts.

It is possible. I've done it following [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3271"]this tutorial[/ame] but I can't find a screenshot of it at the moment.

I just used that tutorial, and works great!

EDIT:
After some more prodding around that same site i found a link to a lvl 8 texture!!!

It's in a TIFF format, so whomever downloads it, needs to convert it to whatever format they need it to be in...

Just follow the same instructions, except in pltex.exe do '1 8' instead of '1 7'

I don't think one spinning would be realistic to be truthful unless it was spinning in real time mode. When viewed from space by the ISS, a Hurricane looks like a motionless spiraling cloud formation and thats what I'd want to see from Orbiters ISS or the Space Shuttle.

Saying that, an addon where you can see the progress of the Hurricane increasing in size over time, would be good. :tiphat:
