Hello...

i was wondering if it's at all possible to map Orbiter's controls to other keys and joystick buttons and axes...

i ask because i want to map all axes of my saitek X52 to functions in the sim...

i know (think) Orbiter doesn't support command assignments natively, but maybe there's an addon?

Cheers

HarvesteR,
Did you ever find an answer to how to map joystick buttons to commands? I'm looking to do the same thing - so that the game joystick can also run menu commands (like starting a mission).

well, i've downloaded Fly-by-Wire and also KeyMapWizard... and i'm thinking of making a combo of assigned axes through FBW and profiled buttons using KMW... will definately take a while, but i think i can use pretty much every button on my X52

i'm only having some trouble making FBW read some axes... like the main throttle rotary and the rudder pedals... all others work fine, but FBW won't do for assigning buttons... that's why i also got KMW... a combination of the two should yeald a proper result

@ Jay: i think keymapwizard has functions for pretty much all of Orbiter's controls... so i would suggest you give it a shot... here's a link:

Thanks, Tblaxland for the suggestions... and Good luck Jay :)

Cheers
