Science Max XR ships reentry speed record

This thread is to people post their personal reentry speed record with the XR series of ships(XR1,XR2,XR5).

My personal record was a 9,2 km/s reentry in the XR-1.

I had about 10.3 km/s in an XR-2 when I did the Home Direct flight recording (also used in IMFD Full Manual/Playbacks for the Moon-Earth tutorial). I'm sure I can get a higher velocity, perhaps if I start at Mars.

10.25 km/s in a XR2 on a moon trip today, On a return from Mars i came in at 11+km/s in a XR5 but that was some time ago.

I got 10.60km/s with a direct reentry from moon, that by the way is going to be uploaded as clip on Vimeo. I hope that by today will be ready.

I have had something around 15 km/s when returning from Mars in XR 2, but the vessel was very light, I had only RCS fuel remaining, dumped hab module and LOX tank before reentry. When going so fast you have to fly inverted for a while in upper atmosphere to kill most of the speed.
