Finally got the thing to work by installing directly to My Documents on an XP computer. Now I just need to read the documentation...

Cannot register that OCX file; it doesn't contain function DllRegisterServer needed by regsvr32.

Edit: Totally at a loss on how to get this to work. Too bad, it was an extremely useful tool.

Strange. I just downloaded this and checked COMCTL32.OCX and MSFLXGRD.OCX and they both export DllRegisterServer function.

Did you do a 'RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR' on the command prompt?

That error occurs when the cmd applet is not admin.

It was run as administrator. Problem was i left the working directory as system32, not sysWOW64. Oops!

Always had "Type mismatch" when loading any .msh
made with 3DS2MSH
even Deltaglider default msh

so what is always wrong with this software ?
or with me ?
does it works on XP ?
does it requires Directx-11 ?

or is this an alpha presentation of an idea of interface ?
is there something to do for working ?

Out there
Mesh Wizard can be very picky, did you check the materials section of the file for anything that looks funny. I've also got that error when a mesh called for a nonexistent material. And finally when theres either a problematic triangle calling for nonexistent vertices, or just too many vertices or triangles.

I usually try to check the mesh groups individually. If that doesnt work, I set all meshes to the same material and see if anything changes.

Try changing the decimal separator in your locale from a comma to a dot.

Thank you ! it's written in the FAQ...
Well : could be wrote in top of general description in Bold : " Read the FAQ if trouble "
Works well after :)

Another question :
is there anyway to change the reference point, that is by default in the exact geometric center of the cube ?
This could be so much useful to have this reference point at an angle of a bruilding, for placing it directly in the right corner of a tile.

I found that the way to run CMD.exe as an administrator in Windows 8 was :

1- Type Win+Q
2- Type CMD in the field
3- Type Win+X
4- Select "Command Prompt* (admin) in the menu that appears

* rough translation of "Invite de Commandes" in French

Edit : I had to register "MSFLXGRD.OCX" too, but now it works as it should, cool !

Edit 2 : oh and don't forget to check the decimal separator is a dot "." in "regional settings"

Or you could just open the start menu, type "cmd" (brings up search box), and hit ctrl+shift+enter :)
