Will give it a look...
Gave scenario 1 a look, launched MIR core to orbit. Worked A-OK.

A couple of questions for you; are you using Orbiter 2010 or 2016?

The reason I ask is that with 2016, the launch pad appears below the surface of the terrain. It's also night, so when the scenario starts there's just blackness.
The scenario also starts at T- 7 minutes or so, and if you don't have local light sources on, there's nothing to see until the Proton rises above the terrain. Even if you do have local loght sources on, you still can't see the rocket unless you zoom in enough. About 2 minutes to launch, the tower arms move and it rolls back to clear the pad. Then just sit an watch as the rocket stack lifts the core off into orbit. Sunrise over the east coast of Russia and the Sea of Japan in the view.

Scenario 2 runs about the same way. No issues other than the launch pad being below the terrain.

This was on a clean install, only had the MIR (with patch), the Proton, Vinka's SC4, SoyuzTMA and Doug's XRSound

Tried the EVA scenario and get the same results you do. But, remove the Soyuz TMA from the scenario and it'll run just fine.

The TMA 'required' per the documentation was written for Orbiter 2005. And as far as I know, Dave's Shuttle Fleet doesn't work with Orbiter 2016.

For added eye candy, take a look at 4th rock's improved textures. https://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3870

Just delete it from the scenario file.

Open it up and you'll see something like---

TM-8:soyuztma
STATUS Orbiting Earth
RPOS 239976.94 5445621.10 -3951100.00
RVEL 5669.897 -3215.223 -4083.531
AROT -46.30 13.97 150.07
VROT -0.09 -0.00 -0.00
PRPLEVEL 0:0.699
DOCKINFO 0:1,Mir_II
NAVFREQ 0 0
XPDR 0
CONFIGURATION 0
PANELS 1.000
END

Delete that section and the scenario should run fine, but there won't be a Soyuz docked to Mir.

Nope. Still dont understand. Errm do you us orbiter 2010.
Orbiter 2005, 2010 2016, versions doesn't matter. Orbiter scenario files are still the same. Most of the Orbiter files can be opened with Windows Notepad as they're just raw text files with a different file extension (for scenario files, it's *.scn vs *.txt for normal text files). So just doubleclick on the desired scenario file and Windows should pop up a window asking you which application you wish to use to open the file. Just select Notepad from the list and you can begin editing it. And make sure that checkbox at the bottom is checked (Always use this app to open .scn files) if you use Windows 10.

Well since there are only 2 vessels
it is either:
Mir_III:spacecraft\spacecraft3
or Cosmonaut1:eek:rlan

I assume you have UmmU and Orlan installed?

The problem is an extra empty carriage return line in the SHIPS section between the Soyuz and the Orlan vessel entries. And that only looks like part of a scenario, not the entire unedited thing.

At work right now. Will give it a go when I get home.
Are you still running (or trying to run) the EVA scenario?

Thanks John!

As I sometimes say after a successful maintenance task "Works great, lasts a long time".

Copy/paste that scenario file above and you should be set. The empty line after you cut out the TMA is what caused your trouble.

You don't actually need UMMU for this particular addon (unless you just want to spawn your own UMMU and use it). In this scenario, the Orlan is a vessel, and maneuvers around as such. Here I've translated up out of the airlock and rotated around a bit. And the view from the Orlan looking down at MIR.
