Spent some time doing extensive image searches and there are two Gemini-Bs: a trainer (at KSC if not mistaken) and the re-fitted Gemini 2.

They more or less match, but I couldn't find good enough images to make the labels readable.
Perhaps in the future someone will take better pictures :hmm:

So I must rethink a bit the idea of doing Gemini-B vs Gemini....

For Gemini we have detailed info on the instruments, and more missions.
I guess that having working instruments would enhance those missions more than the MOL stuff, where you don't do much flying....
It's a matter of time X results. Must give it some though! :)

Gemini also allows defining a lot of the components and patterns, that Gemini-B would have used as well.

But from my own experience with making a Gemini at this component level and constructing it bottom-up: Be ready for refactoring everything and be ready for failing. A good solution for one small electrical problems turns into a bad solution for the next.

And Gemini is full of analog technology - either you treat it as black box and keep the analog magic hidden behind abstraction, or you need to increase your fidelity.

I would recommend the black box approach for you after trying the opposite. It is not like it was a bad experiment, and having a fully functional GDC emulation is really nice. But you try to run a Marathon in micrometer steps. Better start at the player front-end and then just do as much as needed to at least pretend that the instruments work correctly.

Urwumpe, there will be no new systems simulation (on my part).
Only the translation of the vessel parameters to the analog displays, using an updated 3D mesh with new groups and animations.

Make sure you have the whip antennas! :) The old meshes are really annoying in that context.

(And that the highly visible horizon scanners are not moving)

After some thinking I decided to upgrade the existing Gemini mesh.
That's a clearly defined goal, and although I'm keeping 3D detail to a minimum, I intend to add every major switch and dial.

Will do it in a way that the mesh groups are separated, so that someone in the future may use it to have a fully working VC and system simulation.

My LUA implementation will no do that much, but there's no point in not having a proper complete mesh.

Looking like this:
gemini1.jpg

gemini2.jpg

Of course, all those dials and switches must now be removed from the texture.

Will take time but it's looking good ;-)

A little distraction for the VC :)

With the new Gemini add-on released based on SC4, I decided to tackle the UMMU EVA.
Very basic, the idea is to setup the existing meshes as UMMU instead of attachments.
gemini%20UMMU%20EVA.jpg

For a release there are better EVA meshes, but for now I'm just interested on the configs.
Will share those when I have UCGO for Gemini also sorted out.

May i borrow your Skylab B scenarios to use it with NASSP ? Because i have computer crashes with AAPO. If i test it again i will try to post it for you to see if you can help me.:)

Thank you. But I am sorry to say that when i try to approach the station, when i am under 300 meters from it,Orbiter stops ,a text message saying "Orbiter.exe a cessé de fonctionner" is featured on the screen ,and the Orbiter.log file says this:

It also invokes as textures needed for this scenario to run correctly several ones who don't exist in your add-on. (It's not to say that it's not a good one, since i plan several uses for your Skylab-B addon, wich is very cool!) So i would like to ask you for an answer, knowing you created this add-on. I will also try to contact AAPO developpers for the same purpose.

I also would like to know how did you designed mission patches for Skylab-B,since i am also an amateur science-fiction writer, who likes to design fictionnal space programs who remains in realistic domain.

Although your Skylab-B addon often features crashes on my computer,it still remains a very good one.

May i use your Apollo 18 files, because i plan to create an Orbiter simulation of Eyes Turned Skyward (a fictionnal universe in wich NASA focuses on space stations rather than a spaceplane). Since some missions of this timeline are already avalaible for Orbiter (this one,but also Skylab and ASTP), i plan to edit them for including them. Do you know if i may re-use Skylab and ASTP scenarios,to create an ETS version?:hailprobe:
