Hi guys i really ned help with adding the add-on apollo I do everything as you do with the other add-ons but it will not work
if anybody has teamview or can help me step by step it would be amazing
thank you

Which Apollo addon is this? There are more than one.

You mean NASSP?

There are installation instructions here. Chances are you only have the modules, you'll need to download the CVS branch or the CVSless install.

AMSO installs like any other addon, simply extract the files from the downloaded archive into a (preferably clean) copy of Orbiter (and the expansion pack, if you're using that too).

What, assuming you have done this, is the problem you are having?

do u have team-viewer if u do it would be an extreme help because team viewer also u to see my whole desktop. And control it. so u can show me what to do for now and future things.

I don't have Team Viewer, and what I do have is a splitting headache. Please, answer the question in my previous post and then we can work towards finding out what isn't working.

it seems that it will not come up in the modules it is super frustrating.

That sounds like the files are not in the correct location. Any functional module in the .\Modules\Plugin directory will appear in the list.

I suggest you navigate your way to that location and see if the files are there, firstly.

there not.

OK, here is a step-by-step;

  1. Find the AMSO-119.zip file you downloaded.
  2. Open it with whatever program Windows opens it with by default (This may be explorer).
  3. Extract all the files to a temporary folder on your desktop. (AMSO makes a good name for it)
  4. Open said temporary folder and minimise the window for a moment.
  5. Find the directory you installed Orbiter to and open the folder so that you are in the folder which contains Orbiter.exe
  6. Go back to the window with your temporary folder in it.
  7. Select all (CTRL + A) and copy (CTRL + C).
  8. Go back to the window with the Orbiter installation in it.
  9. Paste (CTRL + V).
  10. Windows file copy dialogue should appear. Wait for it to finish.
  11. Once this has completed, AMSO should be installed correctly. You can now delete the temporary folder from your desktop, and launch Orbiter to see what's what.

there isnt an orbiter folder on my desktop just the orbiter shortcut that takes me to the launchpad.

Please re-read my instructions. Not once do I tell you to go to an Orbiter folder on your desktop.

However, an easy way to find out where Orbiter is located is to open the properties page of the shortcut pointing to it and look at the path field.

what the hell does this mean? directory? sounds like a phone book?

Directory = Folder. The two terms equate to the same thing. Wherever I have said Directory, take it to mean Folder.

still nothing.
i copyed just the addon and put it in the plugins place will that work alos? if not i copyed the folder as modules and it would have overwritten the main one.

Folders will not "overwrite" one another. When they are copied on top of each other, the contents will merge, and AMSO's files will be added to the existing folders. This is how the addon is installed.
