Messing around with Donamy's Jason ALTV, the stock DG, and Scenario Editor. I basically put the DG behind the Jason (already in the air) and tried to play catch-up, switching between the two as necessary:

That is one high-pitched squeal coming from the engines.

More from Pseudo-OMP (since all attempts at port fowarding have failed), this time with the XR2's airspeed and attitude holds:

Still-frame from video taken by Constitution's Mission Specialist 2, Jamie Cunningham, through the IMAX camera.

Constitution at the time of this image was orbiting the Earth at a mean altitude of 5,200 nautical miles.

The XR2 safely down at Aurora Lunar Base.

I switched the Ravenstar default fuel setting to 1 realistic with a full cargo load. Landed on fumes. I had to crossfeed RCS to feed the mains. It's nice to actually get that nervous feeling flying an emergency approach from the safety of your computer chair. (The first attempt ended when I ran out of fuel in the hover and collapsed the gear but crew survived. Overshot the base by 2km and we walked around Moltke crater to Aurora base which I put at the east rim of said crater south of Tranquillity Base.

Fuel: 2.10k

Descent orbit: 24 X 29km (figured for terrain avoidance)

Deorbit: 2500km range from base -34km perigee approx (impact point on groundtrack Map MFD just west of base)

Breaking: full retro start at 300km range

The view is no add-on; all I did was set the chase cam on top of the port rudder with a 60 degree FOV. Add a little imagination and you're good to go.

The Eagle as seen from the Cupola. No docking this flight, just testing the rendezvous radar.
