Request Orion SLS

Looking for some body to do an Orion/ICPS on top of a Shuttle ET and SRBs for LEO operation to the ISS

I had forgotten about that. Sort of looking for a shorter version of the SLS maybe with just 2 SSME and the ICPS would do the OMS burns to put Orion in orbit

If so. All we would need is the center carrier section.

I am Building the Fairing. I think we can use MS2015. The ET and white engine part made into one vessel. I think the Shuttle C was for cargo. But I guess anything could be put in the cargo bay. It cargo parts for SSF then a support structure may be needed


But if we put the orion and IPCS would need the escape rocket?

My thoughts are mounting the Orion/ICPS on top as with the SLS
will need to put a engine compartment on the bottom as with the SLS so its just a shorter SLS with the ICPS doing an OMS 1 burn if needed.
It would be cool to have a payload bay under the ICPS as with the Saturn 1B

Well, you have to think different there.

Take a Space Shuttle.

And now remove cockpit and wings. We need no ECLSS or fuel cells and their fuel tanks, remove them. Also the Ku band antenna must go. Next enlarge the payload bay. Add cheap conical nose cover for aerodynamics.

I think OMS and APUs are still inplace, since the Ascent TVC needs hydraulic power and the OMS is needed for Orbit insertion. Also the RCS must still be there (but reduced) for separation from ET.

Yes. Like the shuttle C it has the shuttle thrust system. I have asked about that. And he justs wants the ICPS/orion on top of an et and SRb. I am just following the suggestion. I think it is wrong though.

And I was wrong. The nose cone was actually a reentry capule for recovering the avionics.
