Processed from a high resolution map provided by NASAs Blue Marble Project, this map was processed from the original 16384x8192 bitmap, scaled for resolution 8 support. Now every island inhabited on Earth, if it has lights, can be seen from space.

Review:
This is probably the nicest looking high-res Earth texture, but is only compatible with Orbiter 2005. If you attempt to use it with Orbiter 2006, it will crash when loading earth_tex.bin. On the creator's website, moonport.org, he says: "All these addons have been tested with Orbiter 2006 Edition!" but obvisouly not -- this one does not work. I thought I'd write this review to let everyone know. I know me along with many other people have downloaded it hoping it would work just to be dissapointed. Save yourself the trouble, don't download if you have Orbiter 2006.

I'm sure this was great in its day, but level 9 isn't exactly "ultra high res" these days.
