Sad news indeed, saw them a few times during the Rick Wakeman phase.

Horrible news. I'd heard about the cancer treatments but hoped he'd pull through. A monster rock star and a pioneer of rock bass, he's been a huge inspiration to young musicians, especially bassists, for over 40 years. He will be sorely missed...

Sad loss. Most prog of all prog bassists. Pushed the bass-playing envelope further than anyone else, I reckon. Thanks for all that astounding music, Chris. RIP.

He was one of my earliest musical influences and continued to serve as an influence over my bass playing for decades. He is most sorely missed.

Oh, darn! RIP Chris Squire.

I had a bit of a weird introduction to Yes back in the day. I thought I did not like them, but there was a song that used to play on the radio that I really liked, which turned out to be by them and I did not know. I had been mixing them up with another contemporary group - which I will leave unnamed in case there's a fan of the "other band" around who I might offend.

Sad news.
