I haven't been on this forum for quite a while. Well, why not start off my comeback with photos from Vandenberg AFB that I took today?

Most of the pictures are Slick 2 in the afternoon and night, but there are two images of LP-576 as well, including a random shot of the coast.

Also, what do you think of the photos?

NOTE: There's more photos of Vandenberg AFB in this thread, scroll down for more.

Nice. I like the "little" rocket looking like it's getting ready to come outside and play.

What "little" rocket?

You mean the Delta II?

Edit: This comment was made while exhausted. So, I might read this in the morning and find it ridiculous that I asked that question in the first place.

Did you get to see SLC-4E by any chance?

I didn't take pictures of the other slicks besides Slick 2 yesterday, but today, I will take pictures of the rest of the main slicks (like Slick 3, Slick 4,Slick 6, and Slick 8).

Hell, I might take pictures of abandoned slicks like Slick 10 or something if I can find them, but the main priority are the other four main pads.

Also, I'll take pictures of life on Vandenberg AFB in general, because Vandenberg AFB is like a town in the United States.

Edit: Also, add-on developers, if you want to make launch pads out of the photos I took, feel free to do that.

More freaking photos!

Here they are.

These are photos of SLC-3 and SLC-6, including a random photo that doesn't have to do anything with those two launch pads.

More freaking photos! 2: The Quickening

Here's MOAR!

First image is SLC-8. The second picture is some random photo of a road, and the third is a-OH NO! A TRAIN IS COMING!

Note: For some reason, SLC 4 (operated by SpaceX) seems to be more secured, as the gate is a little more far out there than the other slicks. So, I'm not actually sure if I snapped pictures of SLC 4 or just the SpaceX gate. So, yeah, this is the closest I can get without being thrown into an Air Force prison.

More freaking photos! 3: Sequelitis

Two more...

They may or may not be better shots of SLC-3.

You didn't catch any hate from the cops about taking photos on base?

No, surprisingly not. When I was heading over to take photos of SLC-2W, I was expecting some Fort Knox-type security, but nope, there was absolutely no one guarding it (well, at least at night). It could be because since the launch pad is on a military base, there's no need for additional security.

Also, there didn't seem like there was a lot of cops patrolling the base at all, and didn't really give any crap about me taking photos of their launch pads. I was initially going to take photos of SLC-3 by the main gate to the launch pad, but there was a security guard there, so I took it from the parking lot instead.

Funny thing, when I was about to snap photos of SLC-4, a FedEx truck came into the launch pad through the gate. I waited for a few seconds, and observed the security guard. He hopped on his golf cart and then he tailed the truck. He didn't give two craps about me.

The base still isn't open to the general public, and the reason why I was able to take photos of the launch pads is because I'm a military dependent.
