Such realistic rendezvous is possible even with Sync Orbit. For learning it I recommend to not use non-spherical gravity etc. Step list is as follows: parking orbit about 100km below station -> set Apogee to be 200m below station altitude at desired orbit point -> Sync orbit to shuttle ApA. When about 4 orbits to rendezvous, burn at ApA to set DTmin to 10. If you have DTmin lower than 10 before burn, and during burn it increases, then ok. If you have lower than 10 before burn and decreasing, just burn to see it increasing again and reach 10. After orbit '0' you should be about 76km behind the station at your ApA. Very shortly before Apa, set Sync Orbit mode to RAnm and move the indicator to your ApA position. Burn prograde to set DTmin to 2 (it must be increasing before reaching that value, the same as earlier). Probably RAnm indicator will be moving, so press R- or R+ to keep it in position. This burn will place us at Ti. One thing left is to burn one orbit later to set DTmin to 0, keeping RAnm indicator at it's predefined position. And that's all. If you do everything correctly, shuttle should stop itself under station, without any RCS firings
Enjoy!
