Just posting this for others in the future who might run into this issue (I couldn't find the answer by searching or reading docs, just found it by experimentation):
If you don't have non-spherical gravity enabled, and you initialize an object's state vectors from TLE using this addon, the resulting orbit is not stable and does things you wouldn't expect (like the GOES-11 geosynchronous satellite falling into lower orbit).
If you turn it on, import the vectors, and then turn it off (and restart), it appears to work around the issue - in case you don't normally play with it on.
I think I'll be leaving it on from now on, though.
BTW - this add-on is great for adding an invisible dummy object to use as a target for the other MFD's, so you can put a satellite into a precise spot. LaunchMFD uses a similar strategy.
