Crazy about real time sims
Some papers relating to visualization like improving sky dome radiance, diffraction, global illumination etc.
Also lot of movement towards physics based interaction tools and soft body collisions, cloth simulation at the yarn level, fluid simulation etc.
Lot of real time stuff too.
