Seems like they had to initiate a cut-off around T-1 minute.

If they fire it the same way the Shuttle did, that was about the same time PSN-4 ends and the Engine Ready mode is entered (or not if something isn't right)...

It was pre-mature cut-off. Test duration was supposed to be 650 seconds, cut-off somewhere around 220-240 seconds. Also, the last seconds were done at around 80% RPL.

I didn't know how long they were going for, but I figured it was one of those 150s tests.... whatever it was, it wasn't "big" that it had parts flying and molten metal dripping.

Video of yesterday's aborted test. Based on this video, cut-off was at T+3:15 (195 seconds).

Not related with the posts above. The news that the Europa Multiple-Flyby Mission will be launched with SLS is confirmed?

I wonder what other Instagram filters NASA will apply their awesome minds to next...

I'm not sure those are instagram filters. Video reminds me of old nuclear test footage. I think working with very high dynamic range as here (this exhaust is really bright) poses some serious challanges for camera operators.

About the changes to the RS-25 that require new testing, here is a good summary presentation:

Rocket engines are not “plug and play” from one vehicle to another

Hehe, else rocket science would be KSP.

These are definitely the most uneven weld seams I have seen for a while on a pressure vessel. Hope they know what they are doing.

Quote from the movie "Armageddon":
You know we're sitting on four million pounds of fuel, ... and a thing that has 270,000 moving parts built by the lowest bidder. Makes you feel good, doesn't it? :uhh:
