Hi everyone!

I downloaded the add-on Space Station Building Blocks and I want to build my own Space station using various ships including the Space Shuttle Atlantis. I already know how to use Velcro to pus the station parts on rocket but now I wnat to knw how to put them in the Space Shuttle. I looked at the scn files but I could not figure out how it work. I have to admit that I didn't look at the shuttle user manual though (just thought about it now and I'm at work )

If someone could tell where ot find the info or how you change the payload, it would be appreciated.

Thanks!

The shuttle uses a system of attachment points, you scenario syntax would look something like this;

HAB_1:BM010
STATUS Orbiting Earth
ATTACHED 0:0,Atlantis
NAVFREQ 0 0
END

Whereas Hab_1 is what you are loading into the shuttle (it is the SSBB Mini habitat).
I was thinking the Building Block wouldn't fit into the shuttle, that they were just a tad bit too big?

Or maybe that was just the modules that had the truss around them? Can't remember...

Ok, I'll try that tonight.

I don't know about the size. I saw this on the Hadfield Space Station thread and I just assumed that they used SSBB. Maybe they use an other add-on.

there are, or at least there were, quite a bit of modules for space stations that fit in the Shuttle's PLB. I would recommend looking for them on the hangar and use those, and not to use SSBB.

I believe Cras is mostly talking about [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2857"]"Various Space Station Modules"[/ame] by Piper, and several modules (scroll down) made by Mustard. Also check out the [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2177"]PMA[/ame] (Pressurized Mating Adapter), used as an adapter between Common Berthing Mechanisms (those large ports that you see on a lot of these station modules) and regular docking ports (so that your Shuttle can dock to the station).

my space station is built with modules from ISS A to Z, ISS 3.2, Project Outposts, and Mustard stuff.

ISS 3.2 required me to add docking ports, not that difficult, but may be too much to ask for a new Orbinaut.

I am not sure how default Atlantis works, never used it, but attaching all these things to Shuttle Fleet's PLB was a piece of cake. Well, some gave me more trouble than others in terms of getting it in the right way and place, but for the most part, it is pretty simple.

Cool, thanks guys, I'll take a look at those add-ons after work. As for the Shuttle Fleet, I already looked for this one but never found it . Do you have any download link for me?

Just do a search with google and you should find it on simviation (posting from my phone and I can't figure out how to add a link) but it should be one of the first things you find.

What are the big main differences of shuttle fleet vs the default Atlantis?
