Space Shuttle Atlantis back on orbit!
STS 136 V mission launch is scheduled for Wednesday June, 20th at 19:20 UTC. The virtual mission is a 20th anniversary of the first italian astronaut Franco Malerba flight during STS 46 celebration. Tomorrow's STS 136 V flight simulated with Orbiter has been announced on italian media and on line newspapers:

This unbeliveble media echo is a great chanche for italian audience to discover orbiter and our FOI and OF communities.

Simulation will be performed using Shuttle Fleet 4.7. We will give credits to David and Martin Shweiger, of course!

A great surprise for us was a message sent by Franco Malerba, the first italian astronaut who flew on STS 46 in 1992:

Atlantis flies again! God's speed, we say it, to wish good flight, the speed .. Something far more wind and sound. I greet with affection and sympathy this initiative by Forum Orbiter Italia, iorganizing this virtual flight in cooperation wit "Orbita Italia" show. This event engages the attention of many compatriots, linked by passion for astronautics and the network. The one and one together give us the opportunity to think back to the Italian participation in space exploration and cultural opportunity to add value with attractive, curious, and without danger.
