Texturing VC's

Well, not exactly SDK related, but I didn't know where else to put it...

Any tips on texturing VC's are welcome. This is not about the dynamic textures, but about how I get a realistic looking cockpit in the end. So far I tried to do some frames around the MFDs with a few Photoshop lighting effects with desastrous results. I can't even get the stuff to fit right. I tried to make some shots of the cockpit in Max to have a guideline where I have to paint what, but since about the only thing that REALLY sucks in Max is camera handling it had only minor success...

so, all tips on how you go about the buisness would be welcome!

Texturing in general is not a problem...

The problem is how do you texture the cockpit so everything fits afterwards? after all the displays are not in the same meshgroup, so I can't just drag them around in the UV-Map until they're in the right place...
