Roads built though Khartoum and over the Red Sea to connect the Armenians. Hopefully this helps. Created a manmade river to help drought victims.
We have created airbases near the war zone for our own safety. No intention of going to war.

How would you go about waging a war between two or more countries in a game like this? How do you decide who wins battles and who wins wars?


I mention this because wars in human history have often been sparked by petty quarrels over a small piece of land and colonization had a role to play in the tensions building up to WW1... I guess what I'm asking is this: Now that the map has been fully colored, when does the fun begin?

The Empire of Britannia has DECLARED war on Florida.

Our 600+ meter battleships (see page 9 5 posts down) shell all coastal citys ports and airbases within 50 miles of the coast!

Fun starts when I have decided sufficient time has passed for a suitable build up of my military assets

Our secret submarine forces, resting in the English Channel Rise to the surface and begin shelling London and the surrounding area. Meanwhile our Aircraft Carriers begin launching fighters on non-stop bombing raids, breaking the resolve of Britannia's citizens. A secret commando force has also destroyed part of the Trans-Siberian line, cutting off the eastern part of the Empire.

Winter sets in, and millions in the cut-off Siberian section die of starvation, disease, and frostbite, and still more begin to think that their government does not care for them.
Meanwhile, high explosives warheads are launched from our Newfoundland to England, causing massive damage all over Britannia's capital. Several government leaders are killed.
The Navy of Florida is being reconstructed in Africa and the Hudson Bay naval bases.

Well, I hope you like revolutions, because one just erupted in Siberia. Florida will supply the rebels, as some flee to other countries, while others take up arms against the Empire.
Florida's Civil War, on the other hand, is over. After the government agreed to elections, the Rebels calmed down ,voted, and now there is peace in Florida once more. Meanwhile, bombing campaigns continue against England, and space rendezvous missions have been successful, so we are now planing a lunar-orbit mission.

Well, I hope you like revolutions, because one just erupted in Siberia. Florida will supply the rebels, as some flee to other countries, while others take up arms against the Empire.

See what I mean? You're deciding events for each other and you can't agree on what goes on in the "game". Maybe you should set some guidelines as to how to conduct events that don't pertain to your country alone. The two obvious ones I can think of off the top of my head are:
- No disproportional events (killing the entire leadership of one country in a single strike, destroying a country's entire navy, air force or ground force instantly is what I'd consider disproportional.)
- Offense-offense, defense-defense. For every action the enemy takes, you can devise a proportionate defensive response (if the enemy sends 100 bombers, you send 100 interceptors - the result is casualties on both sides and obviously one side wins the battle.) But for every offense the enemy took, after the battle is done, you have a chance to strike back with a proportional response and the enemy defends...

WW2 wasn't won in a day. London, Stalingrad and Caen were under siege for a lot of time. They didn't fall in a single attack...

Australand joins the Federation of Friendship. Citizens in the Indonesia area don't like the idea and rebel against the decision. A civil war starts in Australand. The air-force sends bombers to counter attack. This proves successful. The railways and roads are destroyed, cutting off access to the South-East Asian territory. 94% of Australand's army is destroyed, due to the bases located in the civil war area. Supplies are now being shipped to the surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, ANS-Dawn is destroyed while attempting to dock to an Australandian port in stormy weather. A new flagship of Australand's navy is now under construction.

EDIT: ANS-Starburst is commissioned. It is over three times larger than ANS-Dawn. It, along with battleships and submarines, sails towards the Indonesian Territories.
