I have no idea, why I got this in the recommendations. Or why I watched it. But it is great.

A lad called Fraser Gartshore from Montabaur explaining the "magic" behind a hybrid church organ of the Bonifatius church in Wiesbaden. Including what you usually never see of a large church organ, the mechanisms and hidden details deep inside the bellows of the instrument. Including the effect of having 9 seconds of reverb because of the churchs architecture.

You think your subwoofer is impressive? This one has huge "Earthquake" loudspeakers to augment its bass replicating the sound of a 32' organ pipe.

I really like that the helmet's are not lit from the inside. I know Hollywood needs them lit internally so the camera can see the actor's faces, but it upsets the immersion when I see it.
Kubrick knew his stuff, no doubt about it. [sarcasm]Otherwise how could he have helped NASA fake those moon landings :)[/sarcasm]

Its one of the most poignant scenes in the film, all his crew have been murdered and Bowman listens to HAL regressing.
Agreed Kubrick is excellent, still laughing at Dr. Strangelove!

I'm following that whole AGC restoration series with lots of joy and sympathy (condolence, in case of Module B11, that is)
