I knew one liquidator, he powerfully expanded the assortment of red wines, there is a suspicion that he will live longer than me

after the release of the BBC Chernobyl series a terrible truth was revealed about him - he shot the cow ?

I never expected to see the label of swiss national television on something as high-concept as this...

A medly of land speed record attempts, some absolute, others not...

That last one resulted from Adolf Hitler's desire to get Germany in the record books any way they could, he was also a car racing fan. If he hadn't started WWII, that little programme would have culminated in a world landspeed attempt live on (German) TV...

Busby Berkeley' last stand...

...not quite, a couple of years later he returned to Broadway for one last production, but this was the last time he did choreography for the screen.

A single lone X-wing means much more trouble than a full squadron when you serve the Dark Side of the Force...

Being Dutch, I thought I knew the story of the Batavia, a 17th century East India merchantman, built in Amsterdam, which struck a reef on the west coast of Australia on her maiden voyage towards Batavia, modern day Jakarta. It's told in every Dutch school, but not in much detail. And although a mutiny was pas of the story, I never really realized what that actually ment. I mean, that's what sailors in those days get involved with right?

This series of four parts does the storytelling in an amount of detail which gave me the creeps. Even more so after using Google Earth to explore the places and dive into the story further. Viewer discretion advised.

Found a new serie from Arte... Excellent stuff and a huge lot of work, they made pretty much the whole history of mankind. Man we can thank the Soviet Commander of the B-59 submarine for not being trigger-happy ?
