General Question What is this object?

I'm enjoying the new backgrounds available for Orbiter. But I have a question, not being all that learned about deep space objects and such. There is a long, brown object in the constellation Hydra that I'm wondering what it is, and I can't find anything on the Internet about it. Here's a screenshot:

I think it's just an artifact of the way the photo was taken. If you look at some of the bright stars in the visual light background, you can see a blue afterimage of the telescope mirror floating nearby, like a suspiciously regular nebula.

I thought about going into the .tex file to remove them, but that turned out to be a much bigger project than I thought.

I raised this in the beta forum and the most logical and reasonable explanation was that it's really satellites. The images were created by long exposure times which would make any satellites crossing into the FoV appear as lines.
