That's a very simple question, I was just wondering why XR2 glass cockpit doesn't seem to be interactive? All switches and button from 2D cockpit are in the glass cockpit but somehow even their state aren't updated in the glass cockpit.
I would love to at least be able to choose a display on these MFDs but the only thing I get is this static image

There must be something really stupid that I didn't realize, or maybe and surely a way to have a glass 3D cockpit that I can interact with.... But I simply don't know.
Would be grateful is someone could point me the right direction....

As far as I know, the XR2 virtual cockpit isn't interactive yet. There was a project to make it interactive, but I think there's a licensing issue.
@dbeachy1 knows more.

licensing problem, how unfortunate and silly when someone just want to make the software better...

In my personal case, I respect the licensing decisions of the original authors. But I will say that I always prefer free software, even more so now that Orbiter is free software.

And unfortunately, many projects have been abandoned due to licensing issues. However, we should wait for a response from @dbeachy1 because he is authorized to redistribute XR2 and perhaps he can do something for the virtual cockpit in terms of licensing.

If people earn no money from their work, they should not care about recognition and put everything into WTFPL (I'm joking)
But alright, let's see and be hopeful of the future...
I really like using the glass cockpit in Orbiter, especially when flying in the earth atmosphere.
