Hi fellow Orbitnauts :)
Recently I've gained interest in space station building, so I downloaded SBB (witch seems the best space station building addons) and the SBB config files to allow the XR5 to carry the blocks on it's payload bay. I've already put a Dragonfly at a perfect 224x224 orbit, so next step is, obviously, get some blocks to orbit. Here lies my problem :(, I can't seem to be able to put the solar panel and radiator inside the cargo bay :huh:. I know this is possible, because I've seen it on a scenario supplied with the config files, and I'm using the ScenarioEditor.
Hope someone can help me on this *looks at a über space station drawing :lol:*
:cheers:

you need to use the scenarios with the config files to put all space craft 3 vessels (solar panels and all the other animated ones)

I will tell you in a minuet

in your orbiter launch pad go to XR5 Payload- SBB41 then load animated Station components then pick the ones you want

SpaceStationBuildingBlocks Animated Parts

Hi MeDiCS
you can put all station components into the payload bay of the XR5 via the payload manager, but NOT the animated parts, which are:

all centrifuge parts, the solar panels (BP101-104), radiator (BR101-102), communication array (BCM101-102) , Remote Manipulator Arm (BArm1), the Airlock (BD101) and the Nuklear Generator (BNG01)

Here is how I did it:
First I stand landed with my XR5 on a surface base, on Earth or the moon.
Second I put the animated parts which I want to use near the XR5 on the ground with the scenario editor.
Third: grapple the parts with the payloadBay grapple function !

But, all this this is written and described in the readme for SBB:
"Every module in this package can be grappled into the XR5's cargo bay using the standard grappling system. Any module that is not animated (not powered by Spacecraft3.dll) can also be spawned using the XR5's Payload Manager dialog box."

I hope this helped.

Why not use the Universal Cargo deck addon? With that you can carry anything, anywhere!

Thanks Aleinikov, I'll test that later :)

I also have the UCD addon, but I'm too lazy to test it :P. Maybe Later...

Hello all!
I'm having a problem with the animated parts, I've copied the spacecraft3.dll to the modules directory and still I can't load the scenario "animated station components". It starts to load and crashes a second later... Anyone can help?

Thanks in advance!

Where should i take all the .INI files?

Try [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3124"]Big SpacePlane 4.0[/ame]
Then run diagnostic again and post results.

To have a complete set of building blocks you need
[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3062"]Space Station Building Blocks 4.0[/ame]
[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3177"]Space Station Building Blocks 4.1B[/ame]

Ok, so, after installing the BBSS4.1 i've tried to create new BCM101 anthenna. I could do it but couldn't grab it to the cargo bay of the XR5. next I've installed the spacecraft3.dll and after that I can't even create the item, orbiter crashes!

Any ideas why?

Run the diagnostic again. Post results.

Also, try creating a scenario for BSP4 without craddles with [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=3152"]Big space plane 4.0 scenario generator 1.1[/ame].
The scenario you create has the code for the stowed module.
BSP code should have also the ATTACH line that attaches it to BSP. I think that if you add that line to XR5 code, it might work as a generic solution... however I have not tested it.

If it does not work, ask the author of XR5, for it would have a non standard attachment configuration.

ok, I'll try it tomorrow. thanks now I'm :boredom:-y a bit :)
