Recommended Addons

We've taken the time to gather up information and links to download some of the more popular and widely used addons released for Orbiter. There are many great addons and developers out there and we'd love to include them all in the list, however in the interest of simplicity we've narrowed the list down to the most used, 'essential' addons.

What about Gemini? Mercury, Apollo, Soyuz, Shuttle fleet and shuttle payloads, and Shuttle training aircraft?

Strange, Can't see shuttle fleet int the list.
Also JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler is indeed usefull tool.

My suggestion at list items and structuring
{
Sentence about the fact that following addons wich will make ones orbiter expirience richer and are considered essential

Orbiter sound
scifi crafts (XR, DGIV..),
realistic crafts (Ultra, Fleet, AMSO, NASSP..),
scenery (Planet textures, KSC texture, Sun texture, Atmospheric...),
navigation tools (TransX, IMFD, Aerobrake...)
other tools (fly-by-wire...)

note about orbit hangar where one can find more addons
note about usage of Generic Mod Enabler
}

I definitely think we would be remiss to not include "To the Moon in 24 Hours" [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=342"]To the Moon in 24 Hours (with panel)[/ame] by Ken Bolli. It is one of the most complete and realistic add-on packages I have seen.

Docking the PTM to the Lander

I just use the docking MFD, activate the top docking port on the PTM (SHFT KP5) and work to align the PTM longitudinally, to the aft of the lander 3 to 5 meters below it. I then work my way toward the lander keeping my speed very low and alignment as precise as I can using visual cues a lot until I get a good docking port alignment (using the MFD). I then null out my forward motion, make any necessary roll angle corrections using the MFD, and use gentle upward translation thrust to finally dock. It took me about three tries going very slowly and carefully to get it right. I can now do it very consistently without uttering a single four-letter word ;)

I loved the look of TTM24 but couldn't manage the docking in lunar orbit. Got any neat tricks?
