Hey all,

Glad to see such a robust community here!

I downloaded Orbiter last night, installed this afternoon and I can already see that my life will be on hold for a while;).

I am planning on following along with Bruce Irving's "Go Play in Space" to get familiar with the system, so far so good.... but my head hurts:speakcool:

Looking forward to getting to know you guys!

PJ

Welcome to the forum :)! There is a vast system of addons here and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Welcome to Orbiter!

Good luck with the game/simulator - the learning curve sure is steep, but it's fun!!

You're off to a good start with "Go Play In Space", mine is tabbed/highlighted/dog-eared beyond recognition. Welcome to the forum, and happy orbiting!

Hello and :welcome:to the forum.
If you have any questions..just ask.

Welcome
I must say from experience that reading the manual and learning should be a plesure if you want to get along with the sim. So read 2 hours and play 1 :)

Doh! The manual, right.... :) I forgot about the manual when I found the "Go Play in Space" book. I'll go get the manual now, thanks!

Welcome!

Go Play In Space is an excellent place to start. The manual too, though I found GPIS a little more useful, if I'm honest.

I'm still getting my head around the thing myself, though I find the learning much fun. I have hardly loaded another game in the weeks since I rediscovered Orbiter, myself, when I have spare time, it is Orbiter that fills it.

Good luck learning. And do enjoy the satisfaction when you start getting things right. It is wondrous. :)
