What do you guys suggest I do in Orbiter? I have already did things that are my max limit and I am getting a little bit bored. What type of mission should I do?

If you want something that would keep you busy, you should try add-on development.

Ha ha ha. I am also doing that too.

I would suggest expanding your envelope. Half the fun of Orbiter is making addons, then again if you want a long scenario fly to Pluto in real time.:P

Whoa. I guess I will try to make an airplane.

Find new limits.

Are there any tutorials up to date with making an airplane with Spacecraft3.dll? I found one but it was an older version and was not compatible.

I'd like to make a scenario where n0mad23's tether-sling gizmos at Earth and the moon are playing "hot potato" with a nuke, which will only explode if not grabbed and flung properly. Your goal is to keep it going as long as possible. Of course, his flingers won't yet get escape velocity, so this is for the future, but it's something I plan to set up once it's possible

When you think about it,
One cant get bored in Virtual Piloting !!

1- The Firefly Vessel kit comes with payloads you can change and fly them back and forth between stations...

You can have several space ground-stations on planets, which need food and things so you have to deliver stuff and bring back the wastes...

With MS Excel & Access, you can set a whole community of stations with people living in them, and compute their consumption, so you have to plan flights accordingly...

2- the Death Star, which I transformed into the Exploration Cosmo-Sphere (E.C.S.) has an entire population living in it (computed with MS Excel and Access) while it travels in space to reach a solar system, and while its orbiting a planet to explore...

Exploration flights are then organized and one might be surprised at what can be find !
Also, freight flights have to be assemble to get resources...

3- The Enterprise is maintained by a community of people (computed with MS Excel and Access), it has to come back to its space port to change crews, to empty the wastes and fill up the resources...

4- The Delta Glider can bring crews up in the ISS, then another vessel take them to a different station, to an arriving vessel, etc.

5- The project to build a new space station orbiting a planet takes time, placing each and every parts together is very demanding, and it requires many "mission components" (which one has to fill and accomplish himself !)...

Just think about it,
The possibilities are only limited to one's own imagination !

You could try to historically re-create a spaceflight of the past. For example, try doing the complete Apollo 11 mission exactly as it was done, when it was done. This is a real challenge. In addition there are several sound bites that you could include in the mission along the way. Try not to use any acceleration either.

You could also try making a "Soyuz T-15"-like mission with a DG (should be hard enough). Doing such a mission with a Soyuz-T spacecraft would be the real challenge.

Launch and Expedition

Probably the most fun I've had is setting up an expedition to Jupiter or Saturn. I used several World of 2001 ships. Have a main ship with habs. A secondary with fuel and supplies. Also bring landers(I suggest 2) and a probe or two.

You can also use the Descartes and Greg Burch's other addons.(or whatever set you want)

The point is that you bring a full mission with lots to do(land on moons, launch a few probes, refuel and go home). Its more fun than just flying a single ship.

(in the 2001 addon you can use NATO or WARSAW(ish) vessels or both)

How about... Launch the delta-glider from Earth and do a close fly by of each and every one of the planets all on one tank of fuel. Close means within a dozen or so planet diameters. For an extra challenge, do this and then return to a landing where you started.

Try this:

Launch Atlantis manually into orbit, then drain all the fuel out. Then, launch a DG up to reundevue and refuel it. Then, have them race each other back to the cape;)

I don't know about he racing part though. I will try it though.
